    Didn't realise you'd branched out to 8nl.

Think you need to look at your raise sizing.

Just play it every now and then.

I raised so much because I was very confident they were drawing and would call, is it that bad lol?

Turns out they were drawing, but not to the range I had in mind :)

Raise size pre needs looking at. If villain is gonna call big raises whilst drawing then make them pay. But pre needs pumping up more.

although I didn't like the weakness of preflop raise myself, I actually think the bet that was done on the flop was even worst. all that was needed on the turn was any club K Q or 7 even an A and you now left to either give free cards or be cautious with bet especially the K or Q.

if it has anothing to do with the danger of KQ or AA, it's ok thinking that KQ and AA are ahead but that's only 2 hands ahead compared to over masses of hands that are still chasing them draws.

    Hi Craig,

    Thanks for commenting

I dont fully understand what you are saying, are you able to suggest a more optimal amount to bet on the flop as played, and reasoning. I will then give it some thought.

    Cheers

the thing with this flop is
rarely will a flop come wetter than this one, the flush is an obvious reason to charge big.
but the real danger was a Q or K coming because it's hands like AK AQ KJ QJ that are the most likely hands to expect called by regs. and if the villians are fish or calling stations or just simply loose the raggy K's and Q's are very common in their range.

so while their is only AA and KQ currently ahead on the flop a pot size bet would be worth doing because if that K or Q did  come then you would be stopped from charging so big for them flush draws two pairs and gutshot like this villians hand due to the K or Q that hit.
