In Response to Re: WSOP - The Will Brewin Time-Line : Hi Rich, Day 1 finishes at about 10.30pm Local (06.30am UK). Yes, provided you have a Press Pass, it is permitted to take photos in the Room, but we must NOT use the flash - anyone caught flashing gets shot. We had a bit of an incident - well two actually - when we were filming in the Room today, but we were in the clear, & got away with not doing whatever we had not done. They are VERY strict. A Policeman (!) approached us in the Cardroom - "NO FILMING - HEY, YOU HEAR ME BOY (I liked "boy") NO FILMING", but our official Escort said "back off, they are with me, they are authorised". Then our Official Escort got challenged by the Floor Police - "you can't come in here, you don't have a Pass". She said "but I ISSUE the Passes".....! Oh, & I am not "people" as in your description of "people wandering around". About a dozen random Americans, who I've never met in my life, were calling out to me in the Rio Corridor today - "hey, that's the old man from Sky Poker". Heathens, all of them. I is famuz, innit. Thats him told off Oh what it is to be famous - wont be long till you will need Nelly's bodyguard to protect you TK!!!
In Response to Re: WSOP - The Will Brewin Time-Line : Hi all, first off, I think the day ends at about 6am BST (they are 8 hours behind the UK in Vegas!) - which is about 22:00 in LV (and if my following of the Main Event last night was anything to go by they are aiming to finish the Day 1's at 22:00/22:30 Pacific Time).. Is this right Tikay... Good luck to all in Vegas... Tikay, send Dan my congrats on the 41st placed finish out of 2800 runners.. Posted by BJM_FMM
The last Level today - Level 4 - will be 150-300, with a 25 or 50 RA, so with a starting stack of 30,000, it's pointless getting busy yet, or worrying about a few thou either way.
Did this policeman have a zimmer frame with blue and red flashing lights on it then Tikay? New pair of shreddies for you if he'd sounded his siren!!! - Boy... Boy???? harr harr de harr!!!
In Response to Re: WSOP - The Will Brewin Time-Line : Precisely how old is this policeman to be in a position to call YOU 'boy'?!!! The mind boggles.... Posted by RichOrford
I cant get the image of Beaufort T Justice out of my head even down to the way he said boyyyyyyyy lol
I interviewed Will at the break, he's in good heart, & the Interview will be up on the Viva Las Vegas Site quite soon.
He remains very confident of a Day Two return, & so do I.
He did a bunch of chips on a weird hand, & he, & the Team Sky Poker Railing Group (photo to follow shortly) are discussing the merits of the hand right now, & it's bothering Will, as he's not entirely sure he should have Passed on the end.
He had 7-7, on the Button I think, & I assume he Raised it up, & found a Customer in the Blinds.
The Flop came 8-3-3, it's checked to Will, who Bets, & get's re-popped. He calls he re-Raise.
They both check the "dead" turn (4, I think).
On the River it got a bit nasty, as Will got check-Raised, & had to yield.
It's very hard to suss what oppo had - but he could have filled up, & put Will on an Overpair. It's hard to imagine him playing a random 8, even A-8, that strong.
There'll be a full review of the days play on my blog, which should be up by 10am UK time, but in the meantime here's a summary of the 1st 2 levels play:
Will has had some cards alright, he's been dealt pocket aces 3 times but got no action! :-(
Standardish raises each time to around 3 big blinds resulting in the table folding to him each time....
He's been invovled in a couple of medium size pots which haven't quite gone his way, the 7 7 hand tikay described plus this one
Will limps with QhJh in medium position 2 other limpers, SB completes and BB checks so we see a flop 5-handed Flop comes Qc 10s 4h First to act leads out with a bet Will makes the call and the rest fold Turn is 9h Villain makes a tiny bet (about 250 into 2500) Will has top pair, open ended straight draw and 4 to the Q flush - he makes the call getting massive odds to hit the draw. River is a blank and now the villain bets out 2000 Will thinks about it for a while and eventually makes the call with top pair Villain turns over J 8 o/s - he turned a gutshot and had bet out the flop with 4 behind on the G/S Draw!!
With hindsight will confessed he could have folded the river bet, but still gained valuable information on his opponent so he's not too disappointed.
Now then - here's a play for you from our man Will
Will is heads up on a flop of 10 5 3, holding QJ Villain Checks Will bets out on the steal Villain raises on the steal Will smells a bluff and reraises on the steal! Villain folds
Re-raising a check raiser takes some "ahem" cojones (sp?)- so nice read Will and nice play!
We'll try to get you more updates after the next break, but dont forget to check my blog in the morning!

I'm off to get Will's Chip Count now.

Hi tikay any more news ?, the thread has been quiet for over half an hour, keep up the good work.... and good luck to Will
Been busy writing a Mini-Blog - it's up now - so I'll pop & get Will's Chip Count right now. Back in 5.
Don't forget, in the Blog Section, Adam is writing a full Report of Will's Day. Cracking read it is, too.
The Dinner-Break is 2 minutes away, & I'll be Interviewing Will at the top of the Break, so I'll let you know the story-to-date.
The Interview will be on the Sky Poker Vivs Las Vegas Site in a few hours, I think. There are loads there already, hope you are enjoying them.

Anyway, it's history now. Next case.
Here's the Team Sky Poker Railing Crew, discussing that hand, during the Break.
Right to left, as we look, Will, Anthony, Ben, & Haysie. I don't know the name of the little man standing on Haysie's head.
Play has just re-commenced after the 90 minute Dinner-Break.
They play this Level - 150-300 - & then one more Level (150-300, 25RA).
I'll get a Will-Count in a bit.
For now.....

He's very comfortable, & enjoying it immensely.
This is good.
We have exactly 1 hour left to the end of play on Day 1a.
Will has settled down a treat, & seems to have the meaure of his Table, but is in no rush.
Blinds are 150-300, RA 25.
30,000.
I'm liking the look of this.
Day 1b play has now been completed, & the players are bagging up their Chips.
Watch out for Adam's Blog, which will contain a full report of Will's Opening Day.
Today's go-through-ers will return for Day 2a, on Tuesday, at Noon.
Will has, approx, & subject to confirmation......
31,000
Whahoo!
And that is a GREAT result, in my book. Typical Will, no fuss, no drama, just went about his business quietly.
Absolutely delighted.
Team Sky Poker are having a good Vegas.
Don't forget to look up Adam's Blog, & feel free to congratulate Will on a solid perfomance on this Thread, &/or Adam's Blog.
Goodnight all, we are off to bed now, just as you get up.
Another terrific day in Vegas.
