Steps tourneys,

Why don't Sky do steps tournaments?

Satellites are good, but steps are better. So the steps to a £55 buyin would be

Step 1= 50p sit n go 9 seat or 6 seat. Prize is a token for step 2.
Step 2=£1.50 same format as step 1. Prize is token for step 3
Step 3=£6 same format as above. prize is token for step 4
Step 4=£11 same format prize is a £55 seat.


You can buy in to any step if you want.

    The buy ins are not set in stone lol, anyway....Does the "community" have any love for this idea? I would love to play a £55 tourney, I MEAN LOVE IT, just to see how they play. But right now I'm not confident enough to buy in, yes I can afford you lose the £55 but I wouldn't chuck £55 down the toilet even if I can afford to.

    I had plenty of plays at this format on another popular poker site, the thought of being able to punt a couple of quid into a couple of grand is always a tempter for those of us that play low stakes poker for a bit of fun...

    Plus the high rollers get weaker players suddenly appearing in the highest buy-in games (as the high rollers can buy into the top step) so they win as well.

    Always think this sort of thing would be the sort of filip that is needed to boost the liquidity of SNGs on Sky!

    I think steps are great, yes I can afford to buy in and lose a £55 seat does not mean I want to. If I am going to lose £55 (I am) I want maximum value for it so 100 step 1's is fine.


    Sky at least trial some steps tourneys and see how it goes.

    Don't they sort of do this already with Sats & Semi-Finals. Granted it's only 2 steps not 4. but still....


    And of couse when they did Viva Las Vegas there was a Step-like structure
