Chatbox/forum Abbreviations.

So after encountering a few newer players who ask 'Excuse me if I'm being an idiot but what does ... mean?', I thought it'd be good to get down all those littles abbreviated terms that are commonly used in the chatbox and on the forums.

Apologies if it's all a bit obvious but us newbies don't like to feel left out!

Just so we can all understand each other ;)

And mostly because I find myself looking over them and making up anything I don't know..


For example.. When people put 'ul' I know at least one person who thought it meant : 'U Loser' 

Yes ok.. when I say, one person. I meant Me. *sigh*

lol: Laugh out loud/ lots of love

tbh: To be honest

WTF: What the.. er.... you can probably work this one out in context..

    wp - Well Played

    ffs - For **** Sake (often used after your aces are cracked)

    LML - Lisa-Marie Long

    gg wp LML - Good Game, Well Played, Lisa-Marie Long
    (I don't think this one has been used yet so it's for future reference) ;)

    Reminds me of a line from The Odd Couple (60s film with Jack Lemmon & Walther Matthau as mis-matched flatmates)

    GIQ (Get It Quietly) = don't brag about your results!

    FML (**** My Life) = things really aren't going my way today...
