it was from a MC table and the villain I was facing is a well known reg on these lower stakes MC tables.
I have seen her/him win some hands well with what is actually rubbish on the TV on Tuesday.
now I decided to make te raise on the flop thinking I stand a good chance of being ahead but having thought a little better what I am thinking is had I not got my 3 on the turn then I could well have went into deep trouble also I probably did stop him from doing his bluffs now where as had I did a call then he might have continued bluffing.

Hand looks a little backwards to me.

Are we raising that flop for value, or turning our 33 into a bluff? Turn card is a beaut, but then we c/c. Continue the story/aggression and lead out on the turn. A chunky turn bet sets you up to jam the river. The fact the river bricks off is lovely for our hand; if he has a K we get the lot, but we also give him a decision with any reasonable pair giving how the board runs out.

If villain is particularly tricky then occasionally I might check to them on that river (after C/R flop and leading turn). Generally shoving is your best option I feel though.

in one sense I was attempting to turn the hand into a bluff on the flop.
the orinigal bluff I was trying was KQ but it was when I saw the 3 on the turn I decided to change attempting to make it look like I was semi bluffing the flop with Axs.
