Was this a stupid fold?

Initial raiser is new to the table so no reads.  Other guy in pot hasnt really stepped out of line much.  However does tend to bet a lot when initial raiser checks on flop, so likes to win uncontested pots really.  Havent seen many showdown hands so havnet got a great idea about his range however I know he's not tight.

Im just wondering what odds im getting here?  I think im around about 45% equity here if both players are holding overpairs, so 69 quid into a 159 doesnt seem like a bad price if thats the case.

However if someone has turned the set, say 55 i think my equity drops to 33% which makes the call iffy at best.  Im just wondering if I was priced in against two opponents?  P1s range definitely looks like an overpair.  P2 could be anything.

Your pot odds are 30.4%, so if you think your equity is between 45% and 30%, it's a call.

The only trouble is if one of your opponents is holding a made straight or a better diamond draw. The diamonds are unlikely, though, as they'd need to have a combo-hand that fits the flop. We have the 8d and the 7d, so what can they have?

It may be a fairly marginal situation but probably a profitable call. It becomes much more profitable if we have strong reads that they're both likely to be playing overpairs, as you do. Even if they have our outs covered some of the time, it's likely a +EV call against their combined ranges.

Yeah I think you have to call here. Against 1 it's a snap fold but vs 2 our pot odds price us into call. We hold a blocker to the nuts so our straight outs should be good nearly always, as will our flush outs. (Other than A3dd, it's hard to see what diamond draw any of them can have)

How quickly did P1 call btw?

    If you're rolled properly then it's a call imo. If you're not rolled, don't play 50NL :p
