Of course you could say that more than one (or all) of these apply but what's the main reason from this list?

I put for the buzz of winning but thought about it more and it has to be the money!!

Because there's a reason angry birds, candy crush, free play poker etc etc become boring after a while yet I was always come back to poker. Has to be the $$$$$! I don't even win that much but it's enough to keep me coming back for more!!

Gives me something to do whilst the missus is watchin her soaps.

To be fair I only play small stakes normally upto £5 entry and if you get to the cash its a bonus. I think overall if you play for the entertainment at small stakes even if you don't cash its still fantastic value where else can you get 2/3 hrs of entertainment for £5? Its a bummer when you go out early tho lol.

Im an avid gamer which probably brings more into my poker life than anything else. The thrill of winning is second to none. This is also my fun/enjoyment so i guess both can be argued.

Strange though as ive never really bothered with money, im a very anti currency person. (what i mean by this is, if it wasn't essential i wouldn't bother with it)

Can't see the list. But anything strategy based with a bit of problem solving / competition is good enough for me. Poker ticks all those boxes with the thrill of gambling chucked in as well.

There's probably a ton of gambling degens that love the thrill of that side of poker, but I'll bet a ton of poker players also played chess, bridge, crosswords etc also

    Cheers,

50% have said the money yet 50% of people don't win money in poker. I guess the more active members in the forum are winners at poker!

I would have said for the fun and enjoyment of it but with my financial situation now ( thank you Mr Cameron and your cronies) it's for the money.

I am super competitive. Had to knock playing football on the head because of injury and didn't want to go down the golf route like alot of friends did.

Poker filled that gap for me. I like outplaying someone. Harsh but true. Doesnt happen often like.

Money is a great bonus side to it.

I play for the money, and being a long time (albiet small to some) winner its definatley the best hobby I have BUT I chose for the winning buzz because nothing beats that buzz from winning a tournament. I would choose 1st for £100 rather than 2nd for £120 any day (obviously there is limits - I'll happily take £200 for 2nd but there is always that downer that you never won).
