QUADS happen far too often

now this is no exaggeration. 

i have encountered myself and villain getting QUADS a total of 8 times during approximately 5 hours of play (two tabling at the most).

I play on stars and its rare. Why is SkyPoker any different?

I have hand histories for you non beleivers, in the past hour, ive been 1 tabling and have seen both myself and villian make quads. ridic.

    I've been 12tabling since 8pm (and still going) and I don't think I've seen quads once all night.

    If you go the next couple of weeks without seeing Quads once, are you going to post that it doesn't happen often enough?

    If you want to make a definitive statement like "Quads happen far too often" you need to provide some supporting evidence. You also need to have something to reference it against and account for any other possible explanations.

    For example; if fewer hands go to showdown on Stars, it stands to reason that you would see fewer examples of quads.

    So:

    A) You need a sample size of at least a few hundred thousand hands from multiple online sites, preferably also with examples from live play as a control.

    B) You need to account for all the other possible explanations for any anomalous results present in those hand samples.


    It's probably unlikely that you'll be able to do that. I'd suggest you just have a little faith that Sky is audited and controlled correctly. Some will suggest that it isn't, however none of those people are able to provide supporting evidence.

    I played 5 hours at the casino last week and saw quads 3 times. It must be rigged im never going back

    im not saying Sky Poker is rigged, all im saying is that the amount of Quads i've seen recently is alarmingly excessive. Yes, its probably variance but i thought i'd start this thread to see if any others had encourtereed similar 'variance'.

    i want to respond to this thread in the fashion that i know it ought to be replied to

    tsk, whatever happened to free speech?

    i mean its only one syllable and five letters long and it really sums up how i feel about this thread but instead im forced to type all these letters.

    its so unfair, i feel like i'm a non winning player blaming a site for my own playing inadequacies

    BorinLoner is right - you can't just say something inflammatory like that without a sizeable sample. I have played on Sky Poker regularly for eighteen months and I have probably only had quads about four times, so if it is 'rigged for action', those in control of cutting the deck obviously don't want me to be in the pot!

    I don't think quads happen more than I would expect (unless you're playing Omaha by the way in which case they happen far more often obviously).

    I did however lose with quads a few weeks ago (quads over quads) to go out of the main event that evening. I send in a hand request but they didn't play it on TV because there was nothing to chat about with respect to the betting (funnily enough all the chips went in on the river!) Funny I thought the TV was about entertainment - quads over quads is quite entertaining in my view!

    As previously posted get hand histories of at least 100,000 hands and then you can argue that you have evened out variance.

    yes they do - i always get quads - quads are no problem


    stoopid logic that your complaining that by default your going to get a lot of quads

    in that case fold when you have a full house and love life when you get so many quads

    i was once playing on a site where i got dealt AA 5 times as much as elsewhere

    you know what i did ? i folded KK a lot more and loved life when I had AA sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnny timmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmes
