The answers are all film villains and no obscure films are used.

2) Extremities give maggot to the queen. (4,6) Hans Gruber

3)  Doctor's aid loses weight next to rock formation. (8) Skeletor

4) Can this aga beat the captain? (4) Khan

5) Ryan is next to a classic 80's film. (8) Megatron

6) Cartoon undead loses american learning institution and gains nothing, twice. (5,5) Count Dooku

7) Dictionary without a star allows writer  to change trainee for one. (3,6) Lex Luthor

8) Young Lee gets fright in middle. (3,9) The Scarecrow

9) It looks wrong. The drunk has to go. (4) Loki

10) No game around tea, shame. (7) Magneto
