Is it called the draft because the sport is full of air?
Surely its just rugby with protective clothing?
15 minute quarters that last about an hour and how can you call it a football when it lookks like an easter egg on steroids?
only joking Chicago Bears for the win!
I would like to hear an explanation of how the draft works if the worst teams from the previous year get the first pick, why do the same teams do so well year after year?
If your going to be talking about the NFL for 2 hours , you have to mention Redzone. Its the most comprehensive TV coverage of a sport that I've ever seen. For those who have not seen it basically channel is around 7 hours non stop NFL. They only show a match when its close to a score and as soon as that set of plays finishes (with a score for example), they move onto the next game and again and again. Bascially its all action with no adverts for a whole afternoon. The only thing I can compare it to is Soccer Saturday on a Satuday afternoon except all the play is shown instead of people talking about it. If they could ever do it in football it would be amazing.
I got into the game in the 80s when it was shown on c4. the first game I watched involved The New England Patriots and I liked the name so that's who I chose to follow. this year I believe that they have A chance, but with their poorish receiving corps it might be only A chance.
james I like your 49ers if they can use colin kaepernick well, but if teams can deal with him it could be iffy.
rich your cowboys could be a bit of a surprise this year if they can stop being a bit of a yoyo.
having watched most of the tv games this season I like the broncos for the AFL and the bears for the NFC. my wildcard is the seahawks.
I'm guessing that's a mis-STEAK? Fnarr Fnarr! Can't watch the show tonite guys (long story) Chardonnay & a Hartigan/Stapes directors cut DVD is involved! Hic.
Evening James & Tikay!!! Great show tonight!! I have to start with an apology, i did say i was coming to SPT Newcastle, which was the plan until the other half decided to tell me it was her nephew's 12th birthday. so instead of being sat in a nice casino having a drink meeting some new friends i was infact sat inside a brand spanking new very expensive cinema in Cramlington watching a very average film!! so i do apologize for my non appearence. I do hope to be coming to an SPT soon by either qualifying for an event or coming along to say hello. maybe next year when you come to our new casino in Milton Keynes!!! (i hope).
