UKOPS - Day ONE Sweat Thread

The EIGHTH UKOPS Festival begins today, hope some of you manage to play a few of the Events, there are cheapo satellites galore to the Main, so good luck.

Use this thread to chirp, chunter, cheer, whatever.

Some serious money up for grabs, but never forget, 99.9% of us are amateurs, & we play to enjoy ourselves, & have a bit of fun.

Today has a £110 £25,000 Bounty Hunter Main (with a UKOPS Bracelet to the winner), a £5.50 Rebuy (£3k Gtd), a £55 proper Freezeout jobbie (£3k Gtd) &, yes, an OMAHA Event, £22 Entry, £1,000 Guaranteed.

    Thanks to our TPT captain PokerTrevs generosity (he personally funded a team comp via this months DTD tourneys, I got runner up prize ZoeD got 1st) I'll be playing some £22 buy in events, and not just the Minis, for the first time!

    Any chance of any micro sats? Say some £1 sats into the M/E semi sats each day?

    Would love to have a punt at one of these but my disciplined self wont let me risk the B/R.

    Slight aside but I am really not enjoying watching the footie right now - no disrespect to Newcastle or Sunderland - t's just that I have an astigmatism and my head hurts on the wide shots with all those vertical stripes.

    I did win a seat for this on Friday night but took the cash cos I thought I'd be at SPT.

    That didn't quite go to plan so played my first £5 UKOPS sat a little earlier and got into the 6pm £24 Semi, so fingers crossed I'll be playing my first UKOPS for £5 and freerolling from the Friday

    Saturday has probably soiled my chance of getting into the mains I will have to try the freeroll sat now maybe i could try and get enough for a chance of a semi into the last day if things go well on the cash between now and then.

    Sigh... tonight was not the night for me. Pretty puke, had the £22 locked up as the leftover cash so was on the stone bubble of the seats, blinds enormous as always in them, most of my stack forced all in on the BB, SB shoves on me and I have the option to either call now with AJ or be forced all in with ATC in the SB. No-one else was also forced all in that hand so there was no sat strat I could use, call, see A5 and from the flop onwards I was drawing to 3 outs lol. If I win that hand, I virtually 100% have a seat.

    Would have been tempted to just BI direct after winning a seat the other night, but feel pretty sick after that bubble so don't think I'd be playing my A game.

    I must of spent about 200 quid on sats !! should of just bought in direct, also bubbled the main a massive 3 times !!!!!!!!!! just not your day sometime ayyyyy sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!! ahhhhhh well good job there is a biggie everynight !!!
