I am currentely playing in 2 different £22 satelites. In 1 of the satelites there is a 5 minute break and in the other there is no break even tho its the same satelite?
We generally tend to not have breaks in satellites, but there are exceptions..
-When we know the satellite finishes quite some time before the event it's going into, i.e. we have time to give players a break
-The blinds are long enough and the field expected to be large enough to warrant the need for a break.
The UKOPS semi at 6pm and late reg semi at 7.15pm won't have breaks because they are quicker tournaments (5 min/3 min blinds) and the main event is either about to start or has started when these finish, therefore we wouldn't want to delay players taking their seats with a break.
So there are a number of contributing factors that decide whether breaks will be included.
I think this has been said before but I had a different problem during a satellite I played in earlier.
When the tables changed as people joined or players went out I got disconnected twice and missed two hands - someone else at the table said they were experiencing similar problems.
The satelite started at 3pm so there will be ample time for a break. Its annoying when you are multitabling and have breaks in the others but choose to time out in the sat as you need to take your break
Many players play sats alongside mtts. That break is cricial. Almost every single day time sat, well before the net event begins does not have a break,
Players are entitled to that 5 minute break every hour.
Seriously if your going to rob players of a break please have a better reason.

Hope that helps.
