Is this a tournament or DYM?

FWIW im not sure it matters. With 10bb and 88 on the button im auto all-in preflop.  Happy to take down the blinds there and then, but not too unhappy if you get called by two overs.

Everything is either a raise pre or a fold. Don't think there's a single hand I'd recommend limping apart from some odd situations in HU games or BvB and that's if you have a good reason to do it.

As it is, you only have 10xBB so we should just shove preflop.

Yeah, what gazza said... no reason not to be all-in pre-flop here.

Hey BFC, with 10-15 bigs, a hand like 88s, 77's just get it in preflop.

    hi

and if everyone had a lot more chips then you would still be wanting to raise it pre flop to about 3x the big blind. 88 is a nice hand and you want to protect it from random high cards that might hit the flop. And you have position as well.

If I have 15bbs+ I probably play it same as you. However less than 10bbs Jam pre flop.

If you had 15+ BB you'd limp pre and not raise?

Hi Lambert sorry missed yr post.

With 15bbs its close to shove with 88 but yes I may limp from time to time to mix it up a bit.
Certainly not raising would need around 20bbs to feel comfortable raising in this spot.
If I am jammed on after limp it would be player dependant what I did next, but am happy to lay this down if need be and still have a good jamming stack.
