Sky Poker Download on Macbook Pro

When I play using the download on my MacBook Pro I keep getting a gateway error message pop up but the download continues to run.
After closing down the pop up a few times the download eventually freezes whch means I have to force quit and re start the download.
I'm now playing via the website to stop this happening. Any suugestions as I am finding this very annoying.
