Everyone goes on about their bad beats etc all the time, so I wanted to start a thread where people tell stories of their favourite hands - hands you had no right to be in, but won large sums of money from... that kind of thing.
...I'll go first
£1/£2 live cash game with approx £500 in front of me. UTG limps, UTG+1 limps and 2 others limp. Im on the button with Q3o and for some reason decide to raise to £20. dont ask me why, I guess I felt like "punishing the limpers"... anyway, 2 callers.
Flop was 9 high rainbow - I bricked it. both limpers check and I bet around 2/3 pot and get a 1 caller
turn is a 3...so I now have 1 pair, but probably still not good. again I bet 2/3 pot after being checked to and the villain calls
you can guess what the river was...another 3 and the the villain shoves for about another £300...
I say "your not going to like this", call, and flipped my cards over. he looks disgusted, mucks and leaves. oops.
Every now and then i remember this hand and it makes me chuckle...

Are you related to Thewy by any chance? :-)))
I think my favourite hand i ever played was in a low stakes cash game.
For some completely unknown reason i like the hand 84. Well in this hand got dealt 8s4s otb. Folded round to me so i raise it up. call from the sb. Flop T 8 4 so 2 pair perfect i fire out and get called. Turn another 4 again i fire out and get called. River J and my opponent shoves on me, i snap call and he shows KK.
No names, gazza!!! That is the first rule of posting a hand history!!! You could be giving away people's moves, man! Shame on you.

I was value raising. Max value.
He has QQ and the board ends up KKKxK, and he has to fold to the A high shove. others, however, may have laughed. (not me, honest guv)
