Exit hand from the Primo Last night

I think I can fold the flop here. It is just such a strange line, min 3 bet, check raise the flop.

I think the turn plays itself, but as played, can we ever call the flop raise here?

With the min 3 bet, I doubted it was kings or queens, or aces. Felt like AK AQ type hands.

I think the min3bet is QQ+ way more than it's AK/AQ type hands.

If I called pre, I might checkback the flop, definitely folding to the min checkraise after the preflop action, he's basically sign posting QQ+ by this point imo

Is this the 1st time he has 3bet clicked it back? If so, I would also check back the flop. Turn is obvs good night lol.

As played I think you can bet much less on the flop, something like 850. You are only like 25bb deep so with the stack sizes here there's no need to bet half pot.

I do absolutely suck at donkaments though :)

Agree about betting flop smaller if we do bet. I prefer a check but if we bet, it's super easy to get stacks in (if we want to) by betting flop a lot smaller and flop is about as dry as it gets

    Hey Chris,

Just new to the table so hadn't seen many hands at this table at all (it was my 5th move!), never seen a min click back like this before. I guess it's cause we are quite shallowish.

Agree with both, I like a check on the flop, and should fold to the check min raise.

Really? I see them everyday! And they are nearly always premium hands. It's not cos of the shallow stacks, some people just don't know how to not play their cards face up...

Not betting this flop. Possibly going broke on this turn though.

Just fold pre. Yes, we are getting a fantastic price but we are up against a probable range of QQ-AA and AK/AQ - all of which just crushes KQ. In fact we need 23.5% to call and against that range of hands we only have 23.3% So it's a marginally -ev pre-flop call anyway - but that's assuming we get to realise our equity correctly when in fact this hand has big RIO against said range and most of the time we will just end up losing more money post-flop.

If for some reason I did call I would play very cautiously post flop. Given flop is so dry we can either bet really small or just check back. Once raised I'm done with the hand though.

His turn bet sizing is really scary. 99% of players just shove here with most of their hands but he's betting really small and it's pretty obvious he doesn't want us to fold. That being said we block KK and QQ and he might just think AA is still the nuts here and vs a range of just QQ, KK and AA we have 61.93% so have to go with our hand.
