Anyone else fed up of players declaring themselves to be "poker pro's" and "check my sharkscope" to find out yes they're winning maybe £5000 but its over 6 years lol,

They tell you they are Poker pro's and play for a living but taken in the context of a 40 hours week over 6 years £5000 is not a good living.

    Does anyone here give an opinion or is everyone a part time moderator? Its a poker site, or does EVERYTHING have to be positive? and winning £5000 is postive just don't declare you're a pro. A winning player is more than enough.

    How exactly did you end up in this conversation with them?

    Usually this kind of thing starts when someone says something abusive or derogatory in my experience.

    Don't think there will be m/any MTT/SNG pros that play exclusively on sky.

    They'll either play a lot of cash also which isn't reflected on sharkscope, and/or a lot of games on other sites, so the stats you see will just be a small % of their winnings over that period.

    Could you give and exmaple of this please? I've been very lucky on Sky and apart from the occasional brag I haven't seen anyone be abusive. Now other sites I see a lot of abuse. But Sky is very friendly with players more likely to offer advice than be abusive.

    Alot of people who play on Sky full time grind the cash tables, these games do not show up on Sharkscope.

    As an example, if you Sharkscope the guy that wins pretty much every single rake race promotion on this site, he has less than £3,500 profit from MTT's.  I dare say he has had single months when he wins more than that on the cash tables.

    Again, thanks for the informative reply and inline with what my partner said and others have said, one sites MTT/SNG results are not enough.

    COULD. NOT. AGREE. MORE.

    A few days a go I had a guy say to me on the chatbox (paraphrasing): "you're a s*** player, you need to go learn some stuff, trust me, I'm a professional poker player".

    I looked at this players Sharkscope's statistics and he was -£2K in 2 years .. -.-

    Anyway, even if he was a professional, at least I know how to act with dignity!!
