Playing like a maniac

Last night when I was playing, I had never really came across this before. A total maniac. I have came across maniacs before, but never seen anything quite like this before.

It was the very 1st level of the main BH, he was raising 10x plus every single hand, and bombing the flop.

I know he's doing this to get people to loosen up and get paid big when he has a hand, which in the end worked for him. But I don't really understand this hand, he has got a guy to shove with J5 and calls with 67os.

The player is in profit by 1000s on the site, at first I hated their play, i really don't understand this hand below.

But apart from that, he done really well in building a stack. Can anyone explain this hand?

Possibly they were tilting, it wasn't bearlyther was it? He was playing a somewhat maniac style in the deepstack as well last night!

I've also adopted this maniac style in the past and it can be quite rewarding because it takes a while for players to try and adjust to it and so you can make plays in a vacuum that are quite +ev. The key is knowing when to slow down though and start using your image to your advantage!

That being said raising Tx plus and calling off a shove with 67 is somewhat extreme. A better maniac style early doors is just opening lots of pots (normal sized) and then 3 barrelling in lots of spots that seem decent post flop.

lol he ended up with 10 plus bounties, don't think he cashed tho, which is amazing given the stack he once had.

The best 1 was busting aces with 7 9.

Funny innit. I was at a table with a serial limper, never limp folded, donked out loads, floated oop when not donking out.

Seemed to be running golden, skoped him and he's won billions off the site, well,  ish.

More than one way to skin a fish, ie in this case, me,.

    Couldn't handle him.

I can take a good guess who this was, and I'd guess it was a £5.75 BH?

I know one very good player who's over £44,000 up on this site that does this sort of thing to de-tilt occasionally.

It was the main event, he has only played 140 odd games on sky over 3 years. Seems to just come here for the mains.

Quiet a small sample size... he might just be as bad as everyone thinks?
