Obviously the top ranked hands like quads and straight flushes happen less often (and will likely affect the votes accordingly) but if you 'totted-up' all your winning hands, which of the groups would you expect the most hands to fall into?

Cleary there are more hands than this but we wanted to keep the list reasonable. So for example there is no 'over-pair' (assume that is top pair for the purposes of this), 'top two' or bottom two etc.

Well you've excluded sets which I think is probably by far the biggest winner. I voted for trips as it's the closest thing and some people called sets trips... incorrectly :p

Sets are just so concealed and so strong, well... completely concealed really, there is no clue with regard to board texture alone as to whether someone can have a set or not.

look like lambert and myself have interpreted the question differently...

    is the question

     which hand wins most often?

    or

which hand do you win the most money from?

statistically 2 pair wins more pots than the other holdings.

guess it's because its strong enough to beat 1 pair yet weak enough to be fairly common.

sets are strong but rare and high cards common but weak.

    think that makes sense
