Hey!

I think this is quite an easy fold on the river, interested to hear other peoples opinions.

It just wreaks of a FH such a massive overbet, call or fold?

Could be a few hands? Some kind of 4 or a smaller flush? But most likely a house.... When you bet the river tho after he's called the turn you must be worried that he might shove the river...? He cant of called you down with 66 so the river card is a nothing so after you've bet I think you have to call

I mean you cant bet 4 quid on the river thinking your good then when he shoves instantly think house? That possibility should of been thought about before your river bet! So like I say when you've made your decision to bet the river you have to call...

You can bet/fold with strong hands Clinton. You bet/fold in situations where you think they will call a bet with lots of weaker hands than ours but if they raise then it's only (or mostly) with hands that beat us. People who don't bet bet/fold just lose tons of value.

I really can't see him having a KK/99/44 given the action and 66 is a bit of a stretch of the imagination too.. depends what the player is like, is he ever peeling K4 pre in that spot?

No reads at all? Really torn between calling/folding and if you don't have reads I dont think either is that bad.

Yeah your right Lambert what your saying but the only reason we are thinking of folding here is because he's shoved and the board has a pair on it! If you fold the nut flush every time someone shoves on a paired board what is the point? He probably does have a house and good luck to him but the way its played im calling all day...

Probably why I lose all my money haha

It's maybe hard to fold as the way it's been played does not look like a set then full house or quads.

But the massive over bet is screaming strenth, is he doing with a 4/ worse flush, possibly! But i would say most times probably not.

I had the above hand 2 weeks ago... slightly different but same sort of river bet....

When he shoves on the river am I suppose to think that's strength its pockets 10's? or even better pocket 5's?

I get your point and you know im no expert like I say im always losing my money but I think you have to call that river bet

Really need some reads before you can get good advice on this hand...

    In general.

    Against a fish - Call
Against a solid reg - Fold
Against a good thinking reg - Much closer, probably a sigh fold though :)

Line and sizing is good though b/f is probably optimal.

No reads what so ever just new to the table.

It is a random player playing 1 table, never seen them before.

It's a strange line, and is probably a fold readless.

Wonder if people would raise the flop here? Not a big issue, was just happy calling with poistion.

Didn't realise the 1st bet was so small on the flop... Definitely raise the flop imo...

Also think this is a pretty good spot to 3bet pre... Your gonna take it down quite often and when you don't you will be in position with the betting lead. Flatting is fine though A2s plays well multi-way. :)

i woiuldnt say this is a snap fold otr..

the game in general is playing fairly deep so i dont mind mixing in some 3bets pre with A blockers especially in poss.. i think not raising the flop here in possition is a mistake- for one it will define the villians range more so were not guessing and two should the turn not come a diamond and your not happy to barrell the turn then we can always get the free river wen checked to- even tho i prefer barrelling if raisin the flop

as played after only calling the flop bet i would be thinking what the villain thinks i have- id probally end up calling here a taking some notes and if they have a boat then kick myself for not taking control of the hand and trying to define their range- id also expect them to show up with worse enough of the time to justify calling anyway
