    good shout with Home Alone, for films that seem to have literally nothing to do with Xmas but seem to get shown every single year.

    I think you've mis-read Lambos' post. It reiterates what a good xmas film Home Alone is and then goes on to list a few non festive films that always seem to be shown at christmas time.

    For me: Peace on Earth/ little drummer boy Bing Crosby/David Bowie or Santa Clause is coming to town by Bruce Springsteen.

    Films: It's hard to better Die Hard. But for a non festive film that's always on, The Great Escape!(one day I know Steve Mcqueen is going to make that jump)
