Just getting ready for the naughty step again but what chance have run of the mill Sky punters like me got of winning this? Absolutely jack *hit. It`s okay for those unemployed people with sponsors but some of us have to work for a living and pay bills.
Isn`t it about time that Sky thought about 97% of their punters rather than the favoured few.
I`ll be back if Sky let me XXXX
Or just read me in the National Press

In short, Priority Club members are no eligible. So this promotion is designed exactly for the recreational player such as yourself. If not for the top ten which is very doable for a recreational player but for the top fifty and the freeroll for six packages. You may need to grind slightly more but so many of the people who play professionally or do not have daytime jobs as you have stated are excluded.
Please take your time to read through the terms and conditions and that other thread, then if you agree with me I feel it's possibly right for you to come back on this thread, retract your statement and apologise.
Isn't that exactly what Sky are doing here? This is designed massively for the said 97%
Admittedly you'd have to play some, that's just common sense. Do you want these bundles given out in a raffle or something?

(This is not a complaint or a moan, and I have no problem with the high volume players being rewarded, just a difference of opinion!)
The whole idea of these things it to encourage people to play more. Sounds obvious, but every business tries to get it's customers to "buy" more product, & they do that by incentives. There would be little point in offering Customers more if they do not become more regular or active.
FWIW, I started a personal challenge in September, having earned 735 Reward Points in August. It went a bit pete tong at first, but I decided to really give it a good go, & gradually started sacrificing other recreational pursuits - watching sport on telly, knitting, gardening, this & that, & playing more Online poker. So there was a cost to me in less time for other fun stuff. But, in return, I gradually increased my Reward Points month on month until eventually I reached 5,000 Points in December, which earned me a £100 dividend. It was a choice I made, to put in some "effort", if playing poker can ever be considered an effort, or chore, which to me it is not. We all have that choice.
It never "cost" me anything either, as I invested some personal time in improving my game, & choice of game format, so that I could try & became a better player.
I know I'm old-fashioned, but I was raised in an era where we were taught that if we wanted something, it was not given to us, we had to go earn it. I got "pocket money" as a kid (do they still have that?) but I had to do jobs around the house to get it.
Not everyone wants to play more poker, & that's fine. But if we want some "bonus", it's there if we make that choice.
Personally, I'll not be trying for the new Leaderboard thing, apart from anything else, I don't even know what a PS4 is. I have not lost any benefits though, none at all, but if I wanted a PS4, I'd have a chance to win one if I chose to make the effort.
Pretty sure my attitudes are out of date, but there you go.
i will not give up my crochet work to win a ps4 whatever that is
good luck to anyone that trys im happy with freerolls for 10 points
The thing with the promo is a regular player on 4nl will have no chance. Because it's purely based on points it favours players involved in higher stake games. Someone playing 20nl, would need to put in over double the volume of someone playing 50nl.
This will be the reason so many people are criticising it. I believe it will be a small % of the player pool that will go for this, 30nl 50nl players who never made priority last month.
The good thing with other promos such as golden tickets or winter wonderland was it was inclusive to all players no matter the level they played.
Well I can't make anyone grind who doesn't want to. Just a pity to me. Personally I think this is a great prize and apart from one error in the opening line on the promo page which in my opinion has lead to some people snap thinking they have no shot and another group having expectations raised only to find out they are not eligible, I think Sky have put on a cracking promo directed to the right people.
We've had golden tickets in two of the last four or five months I believe, we're awaiting the Winter Wonderland results and freerolls, this is just a different promo. And I really think many more people have a good to very strong shot at this than they realise, all it will take is the effort. But like I said, I'm done convincing, at the end of the day 16 people will get a cracking prize and whoever they are, good luck to them. I hope they enjoy it.
