A tight player raises all in from SB, I'm BB

This is the bubble of a DUP

I have A9 os

I spinelessly folded

Good or bad in the long run??

Also we both have 10 bigs and are 2 of 3 shortstacks (6 left)

Not sure if I am being dumb but what is a DUP?

Don't see the harm folding. You have I presume 9bb after this hand, which isn't a big amount, but provides you with some fold equity for your next orbit

I played a tournament yesterday where someone raised and I folded A8 late position with a similar stack size because I had little leverage to make the other player fold. This I find is often more important than having a decent Ace in your hand.

In terms of whether it is good or bad - you are balancing between "going for the win" and not giving your chips away in a bad spot. You can do the latter here, but you can't keep folding through the next orbit.
