My player of the year would be Slyklist He has to have been one of the most consistent players in SPT's throughout 2013 He runs one of the most popular competitions on the site and i'm told he's a jolly decent chap as well Maybe he'll prove he deserves the title when he takes down the UKPC! Last longer please, if I make it through the All In Sats Posted by DUNMIDOSH
Slightly Optimistic played all fourteen all ins so far and haven't got past the first hand. I guess its not my night! lol
Your right Richard I did manage to claw my way back in and got back to above average chips. Then I ran AQ into A 10 (all in pre), he hit his 10 followed a few minutes later by A8 into A4 (again AIP) and he hit his 4. The poker gods did not want me to play any longer!
Good show, Ross is on fire with his hand reading, take his ear piece out and see how well he does then!
hi guyes I went out of todays main event in 102 and feel really disappointed because in the first hour my chipstack was way above average but then things changed and I was just not getting anything.
when the blinds were 60/120 I had a total chip stack of 7435 and was holding on the button 44 and when the CO did a raise to 300 I folded and then on the flop comes a set.
so I just want to ask is it when I have a chip stack this size should I be playing more looser when I'm on the button, my chip stack had not grown much at all and was about 8000 when the blind were now 150/300 and so I just took a risk with QJs when my raise got jammed.

did I play this hand badly? should I be re-raising pre-flop and/or on the flop?. also, should I be folding when I did or calling the all-in??..
cheers,
micky.

Thoughts on value bet sizings on all streets and particularly on river play? Is this an excellent bet-fold for thin value... or a really stupid one?
Ta very much Ross and Rich.
I can't lay claim to a soul read there. I'm just a monkey clicking buttons.
the chip stack of the opponent was 5800 so I guess I was a nit.
I do have very little BR so that too could be causing me to be more afraid to call.
