Sky site lock-up

I was just playing 10K BH £3.30 semi. I was lying in first place when the game locked, the poker channel froze and I could not connect to the Skypoker website. I thought there was a problem with my internet connection so I tried accessing other websites. This worked fine, my router was showing a good connection to the internet - so I can only assume that there was a problem with the Sky servers. By the time everything came back I was in last place in the tournament and had missed the first few hands of the £7.20 BH Semi.
Is there any explanation from Sky that could explain this?
