I once did something awesomely gross in a live game. Look away now if you hate luck boxes.
Friendly cash game going back a fair few years now, 25/50p blinds. I open with 72o to £1.50 on the button and get 3 bet out of the big blind by a rock. It was about £4. No way can I fold a two pair draw, so I flat. Position/banter potential etc.
Flop comes 445. He c-bets £5, I flat. I know he'll give up the turn with his Ax and KQ type hands, so I figure I can take the hand off him with any random card. I was pretty good like that back in 2008 or so.
Bit of a problem when the turn comes another five though, making his ace high bluff catcher a much easier hand to play. I'd been watching a ton of WPT and saw the pros do that all the time, so I check behind for some kind of pot control/pray to make a pair move...
I kind of get my wish when I pair my card. Except it's the 2. He checks and now I am sure he will snap call my river bluff so I check behind.
He shows 33. I win with two pair, fours and fives with a seven kicker. Like. A. Boss.
Now, I know it's not technically what you meant, but that is still an incredible play with the seven deuce, no? :P
I have won with 4 high a few times after my oppo has folded. I can remember betting all 3 streets with 42 off on a flop of AKJ turn 7 river Q and oppo folded on the river. I showed the 42 and they rated it a 4 star play in the chatbox
