Angle shooting.

Hi all. Any comments will be welcomed.
I was in a live multitable tourny last night when one of the players checked out of turn. Which was odd because 1. He is a regular and a decent player. 2. He was stone cold sober. After the hand I asked him if the check was infact an angle shoot. He replyed yes it was.
I guess my main question is. Is this cheating or a poker etiquette grey area?

Well, if he admitted it (which he did) then yeah, it is cheating. If you don't like that word then it is certainly 'not becoming of a gentleman', etc, etc. A bit of a daft admission if you ask me.

I thought that as well. Is is cheating enough to call the TD over?

I would say not for a one of instance, if he continued to do it several times in th one tourny then yes,  get the TD involved
