Doncaster 2.25 First Mohican 7/2(back over timber) 2 pts win Winner

CLASSY Flat recruit First Mohican makes his debut over hurdles at Doncaster for Alan King this afternoon, with his new trainer excited by the six-year-old's potential.Rated 108 when on the Flat with Lady Cecil, First Mohican starts a new phase of his career in the 2m½f novice hurdle (2.25), and King said: "I decided not to run him at Wincanton on heavy ground last week and always had this in the back of my mind for him."I'm very happy with him - he is working well and enjoying his schooling and it is exciting to bring out a horse who showed a lot of quality on the Flat."

    Another promising run as finished quickly to get 4th after being out paced earlier.

    Stable definitely looking at big long distance chase for this.
