Matt Bates is clearly the greatest player in the history of poker.

    Come on.

Calling out a person - especially as he has done nothing wrong - is not cool.

I have run into Matt plenty of times at the table, and he's a very good player*. I've met the guy (yes, he is real, and not a Sky generated poker bot) and he's also a pretty decent bloke in person, so it's out of order you coming on here and trying to insinuate he is part of some kind of hoax or scam.

Take the weekend off. Have a drink.

Don't come back until you have apologised.

    *grudgingly admitted ;)

In Response to Matt Bates--How can anyone be so lucky?:
I thought I had seen is all until I just witnessed the ridiculous run of "luck" by Matt Bates.I am now genuinly worried about the integrity of this site.It is quite simply impossible to hit cards time after time to this extent in one tourney. There is something not quite right here and I doubt very much if I will play on here again. Most disturbing.

The most disturbing thing is that you feel it was alright to post this.

Just have to accept it, and get on with the game.

He doesn't get lucky every single time, just most times.

There are thousands of other players on here, good and bad, who are beatable.

    gl.

    Entitled to your opinion, yes.

To bring a player or a sites integrity into question without factual evidence apart from some bad beats, not allowed.

Jason Mercier was on a $2 million downswing in 2013, i didnt hear him question the dealers integrity?

You've implicitly said the guy is a fraud.

    And you're wrong.

I'm pretty sure that deserves an apology.

Absolutely not true. It can happen to anyone and does. What is more worrying is that you think it's ok to suggest he's part of a scam.

That was Gary Players quote ;)  Someone from the gallery at the US Open called him a lucky little South African and he replied with that
