Oh yes ladies and gents it's gonna be a good un!  As the excitment mounts for The UKPC we have Dusk Till Dawn venue owner Rob Yong in on the show and those of you who've had the pleasure of meeting Rob on SPT's will know he's quite a character... On and off the tables!

Rob and Dusk Till Dawn casino are now credited as doing more for the growth of poker in the UK than anyone else so it's a pleasure to have him join us, if you have any questions for Rob please do post below.

Got a couple of seats into next Tuesday's main event for contributions to the show so here's a couple of topics we'd love your thoughts on:

1)  Live versus Online Poker - what are the pros and cons of both? Which do you prefer? We did this a while back and someone really made me laugh with 'well you can't scream at your opponent in live play...' well you can but it's definitely frowned upon

2)  Who are your poker heroes?  We talk about 'villains' so I thought it'd be nice to talk heroes!, whether inside the sky poker community or outside of it.  Who do you admire most and why?

Get involved and we'll get you in the draw for free seats into next Tuesday's Turbo Open.

We kick off at 7 with Top of The Pots at 8 and Master Cash coverage from 9 before rounding off with the highlights of The Sky Sports Bounty Hunter from 11.

GL on the tables in the meantime and we'll see you then!

Sarah xx

    Sigh.

    Sarah - unacceptable, really.

I won't be able to watch the show tomorrow as I'm visiting my sister for the week. It's a real shame, because you're my favourite Sky Poker host :)

...perhaps my sister will cut me a break...

    Look forward to the show!

I have started a thread"Men using feminine avatars"
A subject for future show perhaps.
    Should be a giggle!

Why doesn't sky let people use personal avatars?

A question for your guest " How do you best deal with butterflies in your stomach, when you get to that final table? "

    Hi Stu,

Yes, it does feel like I've been on the Show a lot recently. I'm sure the viewers, & Orford, feel the same.....

Scotty was due to do this Show, but he is a little unwell, so I got called off the Sub's bench. Thaty'll be me done for February then though, the viewers deserve a break.

hey have a good show guys

    Live versus Online Poker

i would have to online just because im still learning the game and i would probs give my hand away to many times+im a sore loser and if i had a bad beat i would end up ripping the cards or breaking something

    Who are your poker heroes?

well i have a few in poker

    phil hellmuth
the only reason i have put phil at number 1 is becasue he knows how to have a good out burst but in recent years he has calmed down abit so i could take a few leasons off him on how to calm down when i get a bad beat lol

jake is second because he has come so far in so little time hopefully his good run continues

    4 phil ivey
5 and of course your own ryan spittles

Hi all lets hope for a great show, see you at the UKPC.
Advantages of Online poker, well its always there and you can get your fix anytime, and play as many or as few tables as you like. You can watch football on tv or sky [poker at the same time.

Live Poker, gets you out get to meet people, get to be excited and down with others, and generally have fun, in what is often a good atmosphere.

Players I admire? Barny Boatman, for the way he plays the game in a cheerful manner, it was nice to see him do well.

    hey guys,

I am going to buy in to the UKPC on sky poker. It will be my first time playing live and I have been looking forward for this for months and I have a couple questions they might sound stupid.

When I buy in do I pick if I want to go in Day 1A or Day 1B?

I never been to a casino before Where do I go when I turn up for the event? I never been to a casino before

Also just got into to the 12k bounty hunter for £3.60!

Evening all.  Have a great show
1,  The best thing about online poker is that you can wear whatever you like, wrestling masks for example :).  There is nothing better then geting to a final table and donning the mask.  So relaxing.  The best thing about live poker is that there are actually live people there to interact with.  You can make friends and talk about interesting things, or concrete if you prefer.

2, My poker hero among the sky poker community is TommyD.  Great player, does a great job in modding us scallywags on the forum and is a great bloke too, for a spurs fan.

Good luck to everyone playing tonight and, win or lose, have fun

    Evening guys

    1. With regards to Live versus Online, I believeonline is the best as it allows people to play more than one table, something we physically cannot do in live. This makes decision making 'easier' in a way, as we can comfortably call in situations that may not win us the hand this time, but over the long run will make us money. E.g a 55% vs 45% hand. (I know Tikay is a big fan of 'in the long run' theory). This is harder in live, as we must make decisions that may put our tournament life at risk!

2 My poker hero is Jacop Balsiger, 2012 WSOP 3rd place finisher in the min event, his attitude was incredible, when asked whether he is gutted that he got so close, he replied 'I'm only 19 and have just won $3,500,000, I am over the moon'. This makes us realise that deep runs are incredibly impressive, and I always think back to this when I run deep in a tournament and do not win!

    Thanks :)

    hello both

good to see no gremlins in the showing the live hands tonight! And thank you Tikay for your kind words when commenting on a hand of mine earlier this evening.

My poker hero is Phil Laak, for so many reasons. Having read a bit about him, I love how he reacted to losing most/all of his bankroll while living in New York pre poker i add. I admire how he had the courage to grind out backgammon winnings at small stakes while sleeping on various couches in friends apartments. How rather than cut into his small bankroll while it was micro he'd walk across new york to his lodgings rather than take the tube. Losing your bankroll and your reaction to it seems to me the stamp of true ability among poker players. We can all be great when the sun is shining, but to plough on through those tougher days when things have gone wrong and you have no one to blame but yourself takes real stones and a number of my heroes have that trait.

Moving onto to his poker ability, is there a more entertaining cash poker player to watch on the tele? Is there a player who comes close to his stamina at parking his behind on a chair and playing hour on hour, day upon day. And Winning! Not just occupying the crease, producing real ROI

On being entertaining, his non poker knowledge is immense. Just listen to the guy talking at the table, the subject matter more eclectic and more intense than Tikay after five strong lattes.

Finally, you need any more reasons to worship at the poker feet of Phil Laak? Have you seen his girlfriend? ....Phew, Not Many!

Thank you for answering my questions

I am really nervous about going but excited as well and the reason why I haven't been to a casino before because I am 18 and I have been doing really well in tournaments and I thought this is a special event to give a go.

sorry you might have already said this how do you become a member again?

    Thank you guys
