There is indeed a Julian Thew documentary waiting in the wings..... The link above won't work as we've switched it to Private for now. Why? There are a couple of editing issues with that version so we're getting it resupplied. Once that's done (I am hoping today/Monday), then we'll get it back out there for general consumption.
A bump for those of you who might have missed this. It's got some really positive comments so far and Thewy really is one of the nicest guys in the game...
Enjoyed this. I get the feeling that perhaps Thewy is kidding himself that he doesn't have the necessary hunger or can't pull the trigger anymore, beneath the nice guy image he is clearly a natural competitor. He has obviously chosen to put his young family first for now and theres no shame in that. Back to the bigger tours/cash games in a few years?
Excellent viewing, hope he continues to win/cash in poker tours. Nice to hear a player appreciate the value of a win as well as a loss. Good luck to you, Mr Thew.
Enjoyed this. Nice points about the variance involved in trying to 'make it big' these days. Julian comes across very grounded and knows what is important to him inside and outside of poker.
Longest 'interview' I've ever seen without any questions though, he loves to chat!
