Black Belt Poker

To start with, if the mods and/or Sky think this post needs to be removed, I quite understand

But it's just a heads-up that Black Belt Poker will be closing down today; if anyone who plays here has any balances on there it's probably best to get your money out today.

Neil Channing has been a fantastic asset to the UK poker scene and it's sad to see that his poker site has been losing him money over recent times and that he has had to take this decision.

    Shame to see this happen to a nice guy.

    Neil has probably put more back into poker than he has taken out,I think he deserves a medal for trying it, unfortunately a lot more of the smaller poker sites will go. 


    On the plus side Sky could get him in to an analyst roll on a regular basis. :)

    You will be able to see Mr Channing on the Sky Poker Show NEXT Thursday, when he will be giving large as to his fancies for Cheltenham, along with Boycey, Michael Shinners, & Dave Ord, though they'll all do well to get a word in edgeways once Neil starts blathering.

    tikay what are the chances of the episode of when sam trickett was on the show as a guest being repeated on the channel or uploaded to skys youtube channel? i asked a while ago and someone said they would pass it up stairs but ive heard nothing back, as the sky poker championships ambassader i think now is the time, make it happen please :-)

    To be honest Rocky, I can't recall that during the last 3 or 4 years.

    Didn't know to much about the site, until i heard it was shutting.

    Shame, looks like Neil put in a lot of effort work and money into the site.

    He tried something different and unfortunatly it wasn't 2 be.

    i cant remember the timescale myself either unfortunatley, he wasnt the huge name he is now and had kinda just cracked the big time around that time if that helps.

    Real shame for Blackbelt and for Neil Channing, one of the few poker sites that sprung up that actually tried to do something positive for the poker industry.

    It was a good 18 months ago at least, I remember he reveiwed 1 of my hands.
