Crashing Software - Goes white

Hi,

I routinely get crashes where all the tables go white and your unable to click anything - I get a msg box box that says "Sky Poker has encountered a problem, and needs to close" or something similar.

I have asked other players and many say they also experience this problem. If you require names let me know.

My brother sometimes plays on sky poker and he experiences it too on a different computer / internet con.

It happens at random, but it happens a more often when you open a new window such as the hand history window under "game info" , or when you click "My account details" in the file menu on the lobby. (i.e it happens more when sky poker opens a popup window)

This is not a connection issue, im always able to log back in once I close and re-open sky poker.

Today it crashed when I was in a big pot at a NL £200 game, after I 4 bet KK, and flop was Qxx. Im seriously gutted.

I instantly tried to reload the software, but I had timed out. I logged back in, in around 20 seconds. How long is the disconnection timer? Do we not get more time when we disconnect? I'm reluctant to play on sky if it keeps crashing and the disconnection timer isn't increased. 30 seconds is a must.


My computer is as follows :

Windows 7 64bit
i7 3770k
16gb ram

This is definitely a software issue.

    I have the same problem but only when playing the new cash tables. The old tables work fine.

    Exact same problem here. No problems with my internet connection or the speed of my PC. Softwares crashes on me at least twice per day, and as SYS says, it's usually when opening a new table / 'my account'. Needs fixing ASAP as it can be VERY costly to the player, especially when we have no disconnection timebank and the software takes so long to reload and get the tables up after the crash.

    Please add a discon timebank untill this issue is resolved?

    As lots of others experience this same problem - its not my fault, who do i speak to about the hand that cost me £££ :

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delay in response. With issues like this we do ask users to go through customer care who can deal with the issue on a one to one basis and look at individual hands.

    We are looking into this issue with our development team on the back of this thread. 

    Disconnection protection is also something that we are looking at. Unfortunately we cannot deliver this straight away. We will keep you updated on all of the above.

    and 2 and a 1/2 years later there is still no disconnection timebank

    I just lost money due to these same problems described over TWO YEARS AGO
