Hi All
Over the past couple of days I was reading a post by somebody who had uploaded a topic about bankroll advice where they started out in freerolls, moving to S&G's and eventually MTT's.

I felt it was vey good advice and want to read some more into the topic, however I never saved it and now cannot remember what part of the forum I found it on.

Can somebody please help me to locate it?

You may want to search for a thread by GaryQQQ who turned 1000 points into £1000.
    Good luck

    Hey Gary,

The 7:0clock freeroll is normally a 1 hour timed game, with a £300 prize pool. At the end of an hour depending on your stack if you are still in you will get money in relation to the size of your stack. These arnt running this week, the freerolls this week are for seats to main events.

You should defo try these out next week, they are good fun and  agood chance to get some extra money.

Say at the start of the freeroll, your 2000 starting stack = 30p, if you end up with 20k chips at the end of the freeroll you would get £3, if it was 4k, you would get 60p.

Although this is a very interesting post, and I thank the user for submitting the link; Im struggling with the terminology used as I am a "NOOB". Unfortunately, this ISN't the posting I've been looking for. I know that the words freeroll, Sit&go and bankroll was used. The O/P used a small list of the kind of tournements they would be entering into....

Was there a vote to say whst games he should play? If so, it was cenachav.

Either way, if you just want advice about good bankroll management, let me know and ill post up here when I go on my laptop (on my phone atm). If you don't mind saying, what is your bankroll? If you'd prefer not to say ill just do general advice about number of buy-ins.

I don't know if it was the post by cenachav?? Basically I currently have the following, and would like advice on how best to use it, so I can build it further:-

Balance: £6.88 (thanks to 1.88 won in a takedown in a B/H, and £5 money placing in a new player freeroll finishing 37/93 runners)
    Points: 488
    Free tokens & Bonus: £11.

    Regards
    Gary.

Wow ok, that's a tall order. With that kinda bankroll, there's no two ways about it, you're probably gonna need a bit of luck along the way (or play alot of freerolls) if you want to avoid having to deposit. Everyone will be different but my suggestions would be...

    1) Play as many freerolls as you can, especially the the timed one that Larson mentioned.

    2) Outside of that I'd use your £6.88 to play as many Double Your Moneys or Heads Up SnGs as you can. DYMs start as low as 60p. I'd say the HU games start at 55p, but Sky seem to only be running the 55p games for Hypers for some reason and they are definitely NOT advisable with that bankroll, very hard to beat and very swingy, so 60p DYMs is probably a better start than £1.05 HU games.

    3) Personally I'd just stick your £11 into 1 x £11 Bounty Hunter at night, I think the 9pm one has £3,000 GTD with usually £450-£500 ish for 1st. Obviously winning would be nice, but a BH is your best chance of at least getting some money in your pocket from the free token because you just need to take 1 head.

    Good Luck!

    Hi Lambert,
As I still have some of my bonuses left by way of entry/buy-ins to tournaments, and finding that entering into some games it was taking my tickets away, despite me thinking it would come off my balance, I am saving my bonuses as I have 1x £2.20 and 2x £3.30 tickets left for me to use, which I will use to buy-in to a compo which takes my fancy!

Don't know if you have seen the posting yet, but I've been saying hello over on a post started ages ago by a user called "RicOrford" - What I only JUST realised is that it's the one and SAME guy who is sometimes in the STUDIO!!! NO WAY! I says to myself! He's written to me and welcomed me to the site, and has granted me a seat in the 8pm Turbo, next tuesday due to getting involved regularly on the site and saying hello on his post!

Anyway, I've just finished off playing the 7pm freeroll, where I finished a creditable 67th from over 600 players at the start!!! I missed out on the prizes by 37 places, which would have got me a seat in tonight's biggie....Still not a major as I feel I did quite well for myself!

    Talk soon with another update
    Regards
    Gary
