Blinds are going up to 600/1200 next hand. 5 places get a seat, 6th gets paid just over double the cost of the Sat. 6 remain.

The BB is a regular MTT player. The rest have stacks ranging from 11k-18k.

Thoughts on this?  BB calls with AJ
b Small blind  500.00 500.00 19520.00
Big blind  1000.00 1500.00 13530.00

Thoughts as in - should you have shoved there?

Yes, your fold equity decreases greatly in the next hand with you losing another 1,000 chips in the big blind, and K8 - while not the greatest hand to go with - is slightly above average. You just have to take your lumps on this one I'm afraid.

    if everyone's solid-ish & it doesn't look like anyones gonna get outta line/go for the win you're kinda forced to gamble as the short stack & K8 is fine on the button;
if one or two are a bit lively i might fold

I can't see you folding this hand in this position very often, Julian ;)

We need to know all stack sizes not just our table. I guess the question is should our opponent call with AJ, cant answer this without knowing a bit more about table dynamics and the stacks on the other table.

This was my thinking, apart from "x", the other 4 players are limping a lot. They are calling pre flop with a really wide range to see a flop.

"x" should know that if he folds here, he really should qualify. If he loses this hand he will only have 5k. I was confident if i got it past the SB the BB was folding 99% of hands.

He wrote in the chat box "nh" before calling:( I mean when he said NH i was like yes he's folding! And he calls.

I think AJ is defo a  fold here.

All it needed was 2 of the limpers to hit top pair and someone to hit 2 pair or a set and the money was going in. I was also fully aware that the BB would have known this.

When i jam here, if it folds, i'm sitting with enough to see another 2 orbits.

The blinds are 3 mins, and due to the limping, the game is slow, so it means the game is slowing down and the blinds are going up even speedier, compared to if every1 folded or shoved pre.

Matt there are 6 players left so all the stacks are at our table. I think we deffo have to shove cos from the OP it sounds like we're 6/6 and by quite a way, and generally the other 5 players are gonna avoid going to war on the stone bubble of the seats when there's a shorty about. So it's 2-fold.... 1) people are more likely to fold cos they want someone else to do the knocking out and 2) The closer you can get to the rest of the pack, the more people will feel obliged to not try and fold to a seat.

FWIW, I deffo think AJ is a fold there, just gonna have way too many flips and 60/40s when losing is gonna leave him in awful shape.

As the BB is an MTT reg I'm 100% shoving this button.

After seeing the other villain's play in that previous hand I'm very surprised you got called by AJ.

that's a lot of limping lol,

still pretty sure i shove as it seems to be a very passive line-up, slightly unlucky to get called there,

    defo value in these sats,

& slipwater, you'd be surprised son!
