Thanks mate this really means a lot as I thought it looked a brilliant horse last year and I admit I was losing the faith a bit as well. Nice to spot one so far ago.
Well done you as well as it showed today that you had been right all along . Really hope it hasn't left its National win on the hill.
hard to see on his own running in the national now after that great effort, mullins did say he thought he was a better class now, that prooved to be the case..well done on the winners. its been a total graveyard for me today lol
Just read how bullish Alan King is for Raya Star in 5.15, he is almost saying it is a certainty. Very unusual for him. Thinks he was nearly Arkle class, if he is he will take some beating. Already backed in to 9-1 Posted by vaigret
think i would rather have a sumo wrestler ride my horse than thornton, i cant stand him!!!

Totally agree Rock that's why he wasn't my nap, just hope Thornton doesn't mess it up too much.
I haven't had a single penny back from any bet ive placed yet this week. (ok 1 winner on a L15 today but it's not settled yet) so going to put my faith in this Raya Star!
Yep it's NOT running in the National. So I'll never know now... Two years of bigging it up for nothing... Stupid thing is, it's now gonna be rated approx 155, and it would be running off 143.
Only blessing this year is that I've backed him with Betvictor. And I'll get all my money back as a free bet. Just need to find a rock solid even money shot sometime after The National.... Maybe start a thread to find a guaranteed winner in a sports event.

ended the festival £61.00 down, really thought i was on for a good one this year after a +399 day on wednesday but only one winner since. dont no why but i allways feel sad when the festival ends, it feels a bit like when you are packing in a hotel room abroad and getting ready to come home, haha. aintree though still to look forward to though so not all bad. hope you all had a good one people, its been one **** of a ride :-)

Its been brilliant Rock, have we really got to wait another year. Always good sharing it with the people on here as well.
Must inspire me because after years of losing at Cheltenham I have now registered my third winning festival in a row. Ok didn't go as well after the first day but steady returns and Lord Windermere today capped it for me.
Just waiting to see if Tom Scudamore repaid my 33-1punt for him to be top jock. Have a feeling he lost out by places for Ruby Walsh. That would have been too much to ask.

Couple of things Joesman. I had a free bet with Betvic and it expired within 24hrs (Frim Cheltenham) just double check the t and c's as you wouldn't want to lose it. It seems from what you say that your happy to get your money back by betting an evens shot? If that's the case why not just back something that you can lay back on betfair, ok you'll pay abit of comma and may lose a few quid depending on how you do it but at least that guarantees most of your stake back. We all know either a rock solid evens shot can lose. Anyway good luck with whatever you do.
