Hi all, Your next live show on Sky Poker TV is this Tuesday night 7pm to midnight.
And it's TURBO NIGHT! Which means things will be...

  Front of house will be me, Richard Orford and a man whose autobiography should be called 'The Joy of Sets' Ross Jarvis.

 And here’s what to expect... 7pm- The final table of Sunday's SuperRoller 8pm- Turbo main event live action 9pm- Poker Strategy – Double Your Money SNGs (or DYMs) 10pm- Live Master Cash action 11pm- Live late stages of the Turbo Open All banter, questions, hand requests gratefully received and read out on the show, so stick them either on this thread, via email skyopen@bskyb.com or via Twitter #skypoker  Don't forget our Turbo Last Longer! Stick your name on here and whoever lasts the longest out of those that do (in the main event The Turbo Open) will win a free seat into Thursday's £12K Sky Sports Bounty Hunter!

    I have a friend who insists I look like Dale Winton. This is, however, completely unfounded and inaccurate.

    Mistaken Identity.

    There once was a chap who went to work for Sky Poker, and in his early days, meet the elder statesman of the channel....Mr Tony Kendall. Now, I am not saying that he was confused or nothing, and it is a very reasonable mistake to make BUT....the old chap did some background checks on a certain Mr Richard Bacon. Welcome to Tikay's world.... Richard Orford!

       I once got mistaken for a poker player, but when he took all me cash he had second thoughts & said NAH you are most DEFFO NOT a Poker Player

    Mistaken Identity?

    One of the guys in my University Football Team once passed a fleeting comment that I kinda looked like a thinner Michael Mcintyre.  That was the end of that.  Before I knew it, on a football social I was forced to try and convince lovely ladies in each bar I was Michael Mcintyres son, and give them a signed photo of myself.

    I don't know whats more disheartening... the fact that I enjoyed it so much, or the fact that most of the girls believed me.

    i once accosted a short balding middle-aged chap at a function and accused him of being my ex-boss from a pre-uni job - he was even working in the same field (optical interferometry). But no, so tail between my legs i went and sat down at the bar next to (Sir) Patrick Moore - no mistaking him.

    Apart from being mistaken for Phil Ivey when I'm playing the 30p DYM's I've never been mistaken for a poker player before.

    Almost exactly 2 years ago, when I was in Miami for Wrestlemania 28 A few people stopped me and asked to have their pics taken with me.  I naturally assumed that they recognised me from my "my name is...." on Sky Poker and happily posed with them.  It turns out that they thought I looked like the old WWE wrestler Tyson Tomko.  Can't see the resembalance myself.
