Ryan - as is normal in these big-buy-in jobbies - sold some of his action, & just reported to his investors the following hand. (Reproduced with permission).

"....Open A8o MP. The value of the table calls SB and BB peels. Flop AAA ck round. Turn 3 ck round. River 7 SB leads 8k I go 22 he snaps with a flush lol. 200k...."

How do these things happen, in a 5k buy-in jobbie?

    Good luck Ryan.

You mean flopping quads with a bare A in his hand or getting snapped by a flush when he has quads? :)

I get the flop check but the turn check IP does confuse me, but then I don't play EPTs :)

Checking twice just seems like we're giving the cat a trim rather than skinning it ;)

Dont wanna end up turning it into a strat thread lol but sure he would bet at least the turn with virtually every PP and prob some bluffs so flick in the quads too imo

You can trim a cat as many times as you want but only skin it once :-)

Ryry had bagged up 260K for day 3

Cheers for the support guys,  appreciated as usual. Tomorrow is the fun day - bubble time!

The quads hand - playing cash or an online MTT yes I agree being balanced is the way to go but in isolation with this very limited player in the blinds I see no other option.  Just want a broadway card to hit and then to town. Looking back I went way too small and coulda got 40k. Also since I got to the table I won 3 decent pots off him too and he wasn't gonna fold any pair river.

He actually got very unlucky v Johnny Lodden a bit later on.  All in on the turn with 77 v Q4 on a Q4J7....Q river. I wasn't happy that I had Mr Lodden's company (although a fantastic guy and he is great to talk to), as opposed to my friend from Spain.

No idea on the stats - haven't had a look yet.  I'm guessing 50 or so away from the money.

Good luck to Ryan. Sam Trickett on your direct left, that should be fun :)

Also good luck to Sky Poker reg IH8PALACE, aka Tim Davie, who goes into day 3 with a very useful 314K.
