Great show as allways, will Tikay be backing OUR FATHER in the grand national, for the reason they both are the youngest grey's in this weeks corresponding line-up's ;-)

Arhh disappointing - no Orford on the show :(

I like to bet small with a chance to win big - is there any advice on what kind of spots are good for this kind of bet? i.e. are accumulators any good? or should they be avoided.

    Thanks

    Hey Everyone,

Just wondering why Sister Rita Dawson, the gambling nun, wasn't on the show show as a pundit tonight:)

She has predicted the last 3 grand national winners at odds of 7,865/1!!

    Bit of divine intervention.

It was 3 years ago... my mum saw her on the Scottish news and had to bet Sister Rita's prediction, but of course wouldn't ever place a bet, so was down to me, needless to say it came in for a nice pay day!

Tomorrow's winner is going to be Gunner Welburn, so everyone can get in there early:)

Have a great show guys, and a big shout out to Mr Channing, the work you have done for Poker in the UK is amazing and all the best for the future.

Posted in betting forum, I'd be interested to hear the panel's thoughts.

I think Shakalakaboomboom can make the frame at 33/1 with skybet. It will be much shorter come race day. It was up with the winner over the last fence in 2012 but ran out of steam. I doubt it will have enough to win but will give a good run for your money. Back it perhaps on the place only market at about 11/2.

It didn't even run last year. Perhaps you're thinking of 2012 when it came 9th?

LOl you're right! I've lost a year. Just confirmed the form guide:

Shakalakaboomboom finished ninth in the 2012 Grand National but that doesn't tell the whole story as he was actually leading until the second last and appeared to tire very badly approaching the last fence.

    Will correct the post above.....

    Hi Guys,

REALLY enjoying the show.  As Neil knows I enjoy my racing so I'll resist the "grey" & "weight" jokes!   My mrs however has a Q for Neil  What face cream does he use as EVERY time she sees him he seems to get younger!!!
    Pad

p.s. It's my birthday soon so I'm guessing thats why shes asking!

Here are some key trends for picking the grand national winner

    • 8 to 12 years old
    • handicap rating above 135 on the day
    • weight of 11 stone 6lb or under
    • won over at least three miles
    • run in at least ten chases
    • won a chase worth at least £17,000
3 horses that full into this are TEAFORTHREE, MONBEG DUDE and THE RAINBOW HUNTER

Is Teaforthree a worthy favourite? It hasn't won in over 2 years - it's win rate doesn't scream "National favourite".

    Which analyst?

It could be Tikay "never limp" and "don't be afraid to get it all in" but I'll opt for Neil's deeper analysis down the streets.

Ok I got knocked out a tournament by ELDER. I know he's good (a pro poker player) and I was playing well against him.

    This is the hand: 762321709

Did I make the right call at this point in the tournament and was I just unlucky to lose?
