UKOPS sats - Why 7 min blinds?

Ive just played a quarter final and to my surprise it was 7 min blinds. It's just taken over an hour to play this sat. 

I would have been better off sitting on a cash table trying to win the buyin to a semi, I think sky got this wrong. Back to 5 min blinds please and late reg until level 3/4. This was tediously boring. 

If you add the time to play the semi as well at 7 min blinds, its not much change out of three hours play !

    Inclined to agree, it's a long time to play for a small return.

    Yeah, woulda thought the 1/4 would be 5min and the semi's/directs 10 mins, with a sprinkling of faster structured semi's as well for those in a hurry!

    I actually prefer the satellites with a bit of play in them.

    I was going to play sats to qualify for them all, at 7 min blinds I haven't bothered. I am not complaining I just choose to do something else instead. Maybe thet will do some shorter ones nearer the time.
