New Cash Game Lobby design available for Tablet users

We have today mate an exciting change for users playing Sky Poker on an iPad. Users accessing skypoker.com on an iPad will now have the opportunity to access an optimised Cash Games Lobby. The new lobby has been built for tablet use and will allow you to navigate smoothly around the Cash Games section. You can filter between, Game Type, Number of seats and stakes and with a single touch you can launch the table of your choice.

 

All areas of ‘My Account’ can be accessed through your alias in the top right of the lobby and other areas of the site such as the forum and hand history can be accessed through the menu in the top left.

 

Please note that we are releasing this lobby at an early stage and there is a lot more to come. We are continuing to develop this lobby but are keen to see what you guys think of it at this early stage.

 

Initially the new lobby can only be used for Cash Game play. You can still access the Sit & Go and tournament lobbies but these will be launched from the old style lobby. We are continuing our development on the new lobby and hope to add Sit & Go and Tournament lobbies in future updates. The Sky Poker app is something that is being developed in addition to this, through the app we intend to address multi tabling on tablet as well as other enhancements.

 

Following the initial launch the new lobby can only be accessed by users on an iPad. We will monitor usage and feedback with a view to expanding the device list in the near future. Again we will keep you updated.

 

As already mentioned we are really keen to see what you guys think of this and all feedback will be monitored. Feedback can be left on this or other forum threads as well as Feedback links in the lobby and on the tables. We are keen to see what additions you would like to see. Would you like mobile development so that this can be accessed through your mobile? Would you like to see an optimised Sit & Go Lobby  for tablet or maybe tournaments? This is the first of several developments that we are going to be offering and want you guys to help steer us on where we go next.

 

Finally I would like to make you aware that alongside this, we are continuing to make improvements to the desktop client. In particularly we are focusing on issues regarding the responsiveness of the tables. I hope to be able to update you on these in the coming weeks whilst we are gathering all the feedback on the new tablet lobby.

Hi - at the moment there isnt an app but you can bookmark it and save it to your homepage to access more easily in the same way you would with an app.

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to keep everybody updated on this new lobby. 

We have made a change today that allows more users to use the the new lobby. All users that access the Cash Games Lobby on Skypoker.com from an iPad, Nexus or Samsung Tablet will be able to use the new tablet optimised lobby.

Have a go and as always, any feedback that you have will be much appreciated.
