Another hand in the analysis here. I was in the BB and limp calls all around meant I get a free "check" and to see a flop. flopped 1xpr and was limped upon. Thinking I've only got one pair here, I simply call. Turn was another ten which I bet and was called. River was a brick and my bet of 8p was re-raised to 16p. I called thinking my set was good. Cards were turned over to reveal two sets and the oppy with the higher set. Your thoughts here on where I went wrong on this occasion - I LOST so have clearly gone wrong somewhere???

A set is when you have a pair in your own and and hit a 3rd on the board, so neither of you have a set, you both have trips.

I'd probably check/call turn again, and if he checks back then we bet river.
