So for anybody who says, oh that's pretty standard. I agree. I could cope with the shorty hitting his ace and getting a small double/treble up but for the other guy to CALL pre with 44 with 30+ bb is just crazy. Cue bunch of people "there the calls you want" yeah not when they get rewarded every single time. And to have QQ ending up the worst hand is quite sick too. when will it end......

    "Play more" - that's what I've been told the answer is. Keep getting the money in - "Eventually the results will average out" (have been told that as well). Game of skill remember.

    Like you, I'm still trying to work out what I'm not doing right . . .

    Its right to a certain extent. But the amount of times I see the worst hand get there is unreal. Not just in hands I'm involved in. Although in hold em you are never really that far in front at any given time (I'm a testament to that lol) and there are players who make a living out of it ( like Lambert180- hey man) but I am on such a downswing at the minute it unreal. The problem is my upswings never out-do my downswings.

    Off topic, how happy are you getting it in with QQ in the ME at that point? when you're still quite deep

    I should have added  . . . when you stop sitting at tables where players think 44 is a calling hand for a shove (although that may be easier said than done?)

    I had a better one than that this morning. Shoved in position to steal the blinds (I was running short stacked) and was called with 34s. A three and a four hit the flop, and some more pennies disappeared down the drain. . .

    As to your question "when will it end?". I don't think it ever does.

    Lambert only has 40bb, I'm pretty sure he's over the moon to get all 40 bigs in pre, esp in a BH.... ain't that right Paul? ;)

    OP, gotta take the rough with the smooth. Of course we want 44 to call off when we have QQ, but the fact remains that we WILL lose this hand around 1 in 5 times. I'm sure there will have been plenty of times recently when you're overpair has held, but these don't stick in the mind as much as getting sucked out on.

    Keep putting in the volume. Keep making logical decisions. Keep looking at crucial hands and see if you could have done anything different (I'm far from in love with that 9 10 hand above tbh).

    Question everything, regardless of whether we win or lose. If we keep questioning everything, only then can we keep learning and improving.

    Harold is right, I was over the moon lol. 40 bigs, QQ and a BH :)

    FOr a bit more thought process than that ^ lol... well I minraise because when I'm down to about 40xBB I'm minraising everything... Tilly jams and I'm loving life cos they're gonna be super wide imo, and not only is it great cos I know I'm getting it in V them, I know I can rejam over the top and people will either...

    1) Think I'm just after the bounty trying to isolate, and call me lighter = good.
    2) Not even bother thinking about number one, but just think 'hey I want a bounty' and call light = good.

    I wouldnt be shocked in the slightest if someone called behind after my jam with like A4o.

    The rest... is a case of being double 2 outerred lol

    i made a mistake in a BH yesterday and should have just folded this as soon as the short stack jammed because when ever their is a head prize some just can't resist
