POKER, WORLD CUP AND BLACKPOOL (From DTD Facebook page)

Proposed weekend in Blackpool
Who needs SPTs

Flash Johnny has had the idea of a weekend in Blackpool to take in the England Italy game on 14th June. Current plan is to go on Friday the 13th. G Casino have a £55 re entry (basically a freezeout but you can re-enter if you get KO'd in late reg period) on Friday and the same on Saturday but for £35 if you don't want to watch footie.

    My rooms booked and I expect to arrive in Blackpool around 3/5 oclock on Friday. Tommy Ducks has been suggested as a place to meet up for pre poker food and beverages. Most people seem to be posting on Facebook and its possible we could have around 15 so far. Post your interest on here if your not in DTD Facebook group.

    I posted this on SPT thread reposted here to reach a wider audience

    In response to those asking about SPT this year I have one answer - DIY.

    From an original idea from flashjonny a while back myself and Michael got involved and we now have a weekend at Blackpool planned for the 13th and 14th June taking in poker and the World cup. It obviously won't match the SPT turnout but so far I believe we are in the region of 25/30 players turning up to play the Friday night tourney (£55 re entry) or Saturday (£35 re entry) at G Casino. This is open to anyone who plays on Sky Poker or even friends of Sky Poker players. I realise Blackpool isn't within everyone's travelling distance but there is absolutely no reason why someone can't organise more get togethers like this in a more local area.

    Talking of our Blackpool meet up it would be awesome if any Sky Poker presenters or analysts could make the trip. You could experience a mini SPT from the punters side for a change.
