David Platts goal against belguim at Italia 90.
Was 19 so my 1st pub World Cup.
About 100 off us packed into the public bar Great ball from gazza amazing strike from platt
The whole place erupted, people on chairs, tables and the pool table.
Seeing it now nearly quater of a century later still makes the hairs on the back off my neck!

Funnily enough, the first memory that popped into my head was also that Platt goal v Belgium - last minutes of extra time, beautiful chip from Gazza and a wonderful pivot-volley from Platt. Italia'90 was my first proper World Cup as a 10 year old, and is still to be matched for pure enjoyment followed by heartache.

    2.Owen goal.  Obv amazing.

1.Zidane **** in the final.  Probably the best thing i've ever seen happen on a football pitch.

    Other classics/favourites.
    Beckham free kick in qualifying.
Rivaldo holding his face after ball hit him in the shin.
Ronaldo scoring in the final with 'that haircut'
    Suarez handball.

really???? was a decent goal though tbf

Like others on this thread Italia 90 was my first world cup as a football fan. Platts goal against Belgium stands out. In more recent times it was Ronaldiho's free kick against us in 2002 which has always stuck in my mind.......still don't think he meant it!

Your opinion differs from everybody else's on every thread you post on.
I imagine even Argentinians would choose Maradonas 2nd goal in that game ahead of the 1st one.

The OP asked for fav world cup moments, which i did, unlike you who
has posted on the thread twice but still hasn't given his.
All you have done is round on another forum memeber for giving
his and try your pathetic little attempt of bullying with your little sidekick.
If you don't or are incapable of having an opinion of your own maybe you should
    just keep it shut.

probably maradonna's insane goal in 86.

But in my lifetime Ronaldinho's chip over seaman.

I sound very anti English here. Just think both where phenominal goals.
