I would like to say ty to sky for the satellites they are running for the UKPC, I qualified for the main event in last nights final. all for the price of a £1.15 micro sat.Would also like to thank Vinny67, Thefa1lacy, Bfc4ever09 and everyone else who railed me last night. Any tips on playing live will be most appreciated has this will be my first ever live tournament.

    Many congrats man.  Will try to think up some poker related tips later but the main tip is enjoy it.  It's a seat, some chips and two cards.  Enjoy the experience, have banter with people and just generally have a good time.

    I signed in to link a post I made about playing live, but it doesnt appear to be anywhere. Very disappointing, was a chunky old post too!

    In a £1,000 Event for £1.15 - incred scenes!

    Very well done, look forward to seeing you there.

    Any specific questions as to Live play, just fire away, there are plenty of experienced "Live" players here, & the occasional "lolPro" (includes me, apparently, thats what they said on 2+2....).

    VWP Posh!   I also was in the UKPC final but ALAS made a couple of mistakes as per usual but........... Whilst waiting to play I entered a £3 sat and got entry to the £110 super roller!  Ran like Tommyd/Usain/Mattbates  and came 2nd for quite a few bob!  Another THANK YOU to Skypoker!

    thxs everyone am planning to go to dtd in june to sample the experience and watch & learn,Glenelg brilliant result 2nd in the roller hopefully youll still get there . Been playing on sky now for 4 years finally be able to meet some of the sky regulars.

    9's over A's?   iirc it was A9vAK? I'm guessing I had good odds tho?  I also knocked TommyD  & yoyo  out with ..wait for it..a pair of 3's & a pair of 7's!! Cant recall which way round tho.  ;-)  I was playing a couple of other games at the same time and on the other tables I never had a hole card higher than a 7!!  Gotta love poker.

    Great to see you have won your seat - briefly tuned into the live show and saw yr name up on the TV tables so figured you was either involved in the super roller (Which I doubted because I thought you were a Micro Stakes player like me, having played against you a fair bit recently in DYM's - must remember to say ello next time). or was involved in a UKPC Sat  - now obviously the latter.

    One thing I noticed from a repeat of a master cash show I caught last night after mid-night, was somebody wrote into the show back in feburary asking just that. Tikay said the along the following lines IIRC correctly:-

    "Enjoy it - The UKPC is of a very slow structrure so you can easily afford to just sit back, take it all in and watch the action for the first couple of levels - net cost? what aroud 250 chips, out of 30,000!?, also dont be afraid to say hello when you arrive at the table, introduce yourself, shake the hand of your table colleagues and be friendly - make conversation"

    Thanks for the mention Posh, was a great rail, although I was a bit tired in the morning! Well done mate, it's an amazing achievement to win a £1000 seat for only £1.15! I hope to be railing you in the main event itself in August, where I am sure you will also do well!
