GTs slashed again

Im sure theres a thread on here somewhere but havent come across it yet! just that i logged on to play my fave tourney of the week and imo one of the best value tourneys but i see its been cut back again by another £1000 down to 3k form 5k in a few weeks and the 9pm BH now 2k after being cut back from 4k to 3k ! i know all the specifics about it being a seasonal game less players etc but seems unfair still expecting you to pay £55 to play a tourney that has halved in prize money !!
surley its only fair if they have halved the prize pool it should now be £27.50 to play and the turbo should be £6.60.
they may lose more then they are trying to save if they are worried obout losing a bit of cash in overlay i have a feeling people will be looking at other sites for better value tourneys!

    If guarantees aren't met, future guarantees drop. The guarantees go down when the higher figure isn't expected to be met. Given the World Cup is taking place and the weather is quite nice, having high guarantees doesn't make alot of sense.

    The size of the buy-in and the size of the guarantee are not proportional to one another.

    England game, Nice weather, less people playing poker

    I think we should really put this topic to bed now - Sky have done this every year to suit demand.

    Summer is not good for online uk poker because:

    Good players go to Vegas etc as is all the world events / tours

    Rec players prefer to go outside and enjoy the pub gardens and spend money instead of here

    I go from playing MTT's 3 times a week for £33 to one £11 on a tuesday and then grind sng

    Happens every year fella - sure you appreciate that - understand that a £55 buy in for a lower top prize can be annoying - but... better chance of winning as smaller field

    Played the 2pm 500bh  3 days ago, 74 players so gtd well covered... thought I'd play it or the 4pm today... was amazed it had dropped to 300 for the same buy in, that's a 40% drop .......  I just played on another site instead, its becoming a joke..... no actually it is a joke.

    It has been said on a number of threads, guarantees over all poker sites have dropped due to weather/world cup/WSOP (depending on sites). Don't see how its tricky to grasp.

    The local casino here in Bristol has removed all Guarantees until September due to the fact that it's summer.

    Good morning all.
    When i play a tournament,i like it to meet its guarantee so  when  i play the tournament next time the poker site is still in business.
    Overlay is only good when you are just using the site now and then, i like playing on sky poker for the forum and most of the players are friendly and helpful.
    If you are not happy a tournament has cut its guarantee you dont have to play.

    I've just been having a play about on the new Poker***** client. 

    Sky aren't and don't pretend to be PS, but if they put anywhere near the level of effort into improving their site as PS do, things would be alot healthier here.

    It's just the same as having gripes about spt events etc.  There is always ways that a business can improve for it's customers.

    Funnily enough, I recall a while ago you were getting excited about people quoting players sharkscope stats on threads.
    I noticed a couple of days ago that you quoted someone's sharkscope on a thread.

    Yep after he threatened Gary and tried to belittle him I felt that was justified. Not quite sure as to why you would mention that though as it doesn't have anything to do with this thread.  As for the complaints about the software I think that would be more justified given that Sky poker is an online poker site and the offline events are merely a bonus, but I do agree with you about the spt events in the same way I also agree with others about the improvement needed on the software. 

    Oh and as for getting excited, yes I just love to get real excited about sharkscope stats being posted.  Have a good day Jac.
