When we were in Vegas, my pal and I were drawn at the same table as a lesser-known pro called Andreas Hoivold.
I know he's not a celebrity, but he might as well have been because everyone was talking about him!
There were two live games going on in the Golden Nugget, a NLH and an Omaha game, each a $100 buy-in - much less than most pros would bother with!
He had signed up to both and was multitabling live!
He didn't sit down at our table for two levels and we had no idea what was going on.
We just thought some guy hadn't turned up.
Then he sat down and started playing mega-aggressive and leaving the table every few hands.
He did pretty well too - final tabled the Omaha, but busted NHL with a few tables left.
Probably won't stand as an entry due to him being a pro, but I like the story all the same!

hi chaps, just a quick question.I sated in for £1.60 in to the 8k early semi at 3pm, but when i went to play it had been cancelled.I noticed the £7.20 seat money had not been credited to my acc.so i rang customer services and they kindly credited my acc ,but they said we dont usually do this.when i asked what would usually happen in this situation they said nothing you would lose your money.surely this cant be right if you pay your money to play and win through only to lose your money, hope you can explain . Hi all. Enjoying the show so far. There is still time though.
I once played poker with the one and only Ronald McDonald. It was actually at a McDonalds "resteraunt" (Other fast food outlets are avaliable) at a kids party and we only played one hand face up for a free big mac. I won and enjoyed my free burger. Pity it wasn't a big kahuna burger! Happy days.
I only turned on about 40 minutes into the first hour but I think you should be careful about playing while presenting, Richard. If the missus finds out about this, you'll never again be able to get out of emptying the bins, washing the dishes or anything else with the phrase "I'm playing poker".
I wish I could tell you that I've played with lots of celebs. The trouble is that I'm not really au fait with celebrity culture, so it's entirely possible that I have and not known who they were. All I can say with confidence is that I've never played with any of the girls from the Saturdays. I'd definitely recognise them - I'm a big fan of their "music".
I did play with one fellow that might have been Roy "Chubby" Brown at my local casino. He was definitely named Roy and you wouldn't want to see him in speedos. I'm not quite sure that's enough to go on, though.
It is not fair to pick on the England team like that. By the way there is some genuine England shirts for sale hardly worn. An engalnd world cup coach for sale low mileage
loving the return of the "dreamteam" but please leave off ross! been away from ages and you pick on him.
If he needs a hug......
anyway, in all seriousness - if the guy name louis is the one and same "Sky Louis", thank him for the update on the TV show forum
Can't send you my poker pro story, as never played with one - hard to do when you've only played live once down ur local pub and once at the snooker hall!
a snooker player? does he mean a professional snooker player, and one who plays poker? who do we know of any of this rare breed? and make your own mind up if the hug offer was there - who rememebers the "free hugs" campaign?
