I decided to call here after thinking he could have the same hand or maybe 1010, It's so early and so many bb's. I Just can't get it into my head to fold here. Actually stopped playing for the night as I've realised I may be playing very bad while deep stacked.
Was it Bad? How Bad?

Thanks...

I would just fold mate, because it's obvious we have a Jack, hence why he has jammed with the massive overbet.

This is hardly ever a split pot imo/ bluff, it's pretty much always the nuts.

And you don't really want to be calling for a split pot.

We are so deep, just fold and wait for far better spots.

Thanks bud.. I didn't even think anything of it until a player told me it was alot of bb's to call with my hand.

I think I need to learn poker, i'v played with friends for years, and read 2 books, but I think there is alot I am missing...

    Really hard one.

Knowing only ever getting a split pot there at best I fold. I have learnt that in deep stacks its far better to pick up little pots then make a loose call when an op shoves. Nearlly always have it in early stages.

Totally get why you called though. Whn only being beat by the 88 is hard to fold!

    Run well

I think this is almost always quads. Fold

Nuggy we are beaten by JT as well. If T was a 3 though it would be much harder to fold. We have 47.5% equity if he's shoving every J and 88. But when it's a T we only have 40% equity. More-over with a T on board it's even less likely that villain would reshove with any jack.

Nobody except really bad players are shoving TT here.. it would be a complete over-play.

    Q9c/79c as well.....Unlikely but can't be discounted.

I'd fold, more concerned about J10 than quads.

omg, my head must have been so far up my donkey. I didn't even think about the J10 or the lower Str8Flush, was only really worried about the 88. Laughing my head off now though, my missus just reminded me its the 1st time i'v ever played without smoking, not had any for 4 days.

Think I need to check through my hands and see if I've been missing stuff in the past, if not I guess I need to start smoking again.

Thanks for the replys guys, some of the most helpfull i'v ever had on my game.

    Bet flop for value

Anyone flat river? Minbet on turn followed by chunky river bet looks weird to me. Not sure we get much value looks like nuts or air, weighted to nuts

As played think you have to fold you are splitting at best

im not this sort of high stakes player and this might not make sense to other 6 max players as i usually play full ring but utg+1 with Qjo is fold pre to me
