Got this email from the Irishman. Similar to some of the world cup bets but deffo worth a punt :

The Premier League season starts in two weeks time and Paddy is more excited than a kid on Christmas Eve...So excited that he may just have come up with his craziest offer yet!

Here's the deal...Place a £20 bet on the Premier League Top Goalscorer and every time he scores we'll give you a £2 free bet. We'll leave that one with you for a second just to let it sink in!

    Wilfred Bony might be worth a bet early at 22/1
    Got 16 last year and still talk of possible Liverpool and Spurs interest.
    I he moves to either of them can see his price shrinking a fair bit.
    Also Benteke (depending on fitness)at 33/1 Spurs supposed to be interest I'm him also

    I think even I can turn a profit here.

    Can probably back 4/5 people at least and they all be +ev.

    Costa 7/1

    Rooney 12/1

    Sanchez 16/1

    Lukaku 20/1

    All each way. Only injury can stop them scoring 10 league goals each, then you can freeroll top 4.

    You,ve already mentioned him : Gonna wait till week before incase of injury but Alexi Sanchez looks a solid bet and a good price at 16/1 for an out and out striker. Always liked him at Barca but never really got a chance there

    Spurs seem to be doing well in pre-season traing. Think they had 6 different scores in their win last night so if they can get a decent striker that could be a good bet.

    I havent checked but doubt you can do more than 1. They,d lose a fortune

    To continue qualify for free bets, customers must have staked at least GBP/EUR10 in actual, non-free bet, sportsbook stakes in the 30 days prior to each free bet being credited

    A customer will be able to claim a maximum of GBP/EUR10 in free bets per week, Monday to Sunday

    This is basically to make sure ppl arn,t just using PP for this bet only and that they are using there accounts for other bets which isn,t a problem if you use the site occasionly anyway. You can place more than 1 bet but theres no point in betting more than 2 players imo as the max is still 5 goals or £10 in freebets a week and thats between your players , so if for example you bet on 6 players and they all score you,ll only get 5 goals worth or £10 of Freebets

    3 points here (having had the same offer)

    1. Would you normally stake £20, either at all or on  a season long punt??

    2. Bigger prices on the exchange more than offset the prospect of a non refundable £2 bet every other week.

    3. Read the T+Cs - you have to bet x amount per month to qualify.



    As always the moral of the story is that nothing any sportsbook advertises to existing customers is worthwhile.

    The amount per month to qualify is £10. On a 120% book you've lost £2 on average before you even start!!!!!!

    Sorry don't like to shoot people down but, 
    1. Yes
    2. The prices avaliable on exchanges are comparable to powers and that's not taking commissions into account.
    If I have 20 quid on bonny at 20/1 I get 400 quid from powers (or any other sports book) and only 388 for betfair.
    3. Yes you are correct but £10 a month is hardly going to break the bank, if like any serious punter you have accounts at most bookies to ensure you get all the best prices and free stuff they give away.

    Im going for 2 both 10 quid e.w

    Bony 22/1 for reasons covered in my earlier post

    Augero at 9/2, baring a major injury he WILL score a minimum of 15 goals this season,so I've got 30 quid in freebets and e.w pays a quater the odds. So I've also got a profit if he's out scored by Van persie,Costa and sturridge!

    If I place every freebet at 5/1 minimum I only need 2 to come in to get my stake back.

    For me this is the best value bet of the season!

    Read the T+Cs, you're only allowed one pick.

    Bony is 28/1 with 365.

    Aguero is 5/1 and 11/2 with online firms and has over £70 available at over 6/1 on betfair.


    You're a mug for betting with powers just because they e-mailed you.

    To realise the free bet you need to make 9x £10 bets per season. £90 with a 120% over round will leave you at a loss of £18. Don't worry though because you get a non refundable £2 bet every now and again. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sorry this sounds harsh but it makes me seethe when people can't see the bookmaking industry for what it is.

    thanks for pointing out my MUGNESS

    IM HAVING A BET WITH A COMPANY I REGULARLY USE
    SO THEREFORE THE 9 TEN POUND BETS I WOULD PROBALY HAVE IN A WEEK

    these bets are not always value 
    somebody posted the same one PP did for the world cup which i was first to point out it stank the place out

    but this one possibly gives maybe up to 30 freebets a season 

    yes i could have had 1.5 higher odds with 365 but i feel that with the freebets i can make up the deficite.


    Please advise where in the t &cs it says you can only do this bet once?

    regular users of this forum politly accept other opinions and I will gladly take anybodys on board.

    please contuinue to post your opinions but please dont go post calling people mugs for there opinions

    1/ Yes . I often stake more than £20 on season long bets as do a lot of ppl i know. It saves me doing bets every week as i,ve still got an interest in the games

    2/ In a lot of cases yes i agree. On my selection there is virtually no difference 16 and 1/2 to 1 on the Exchange and 16/1 on PP

    3/ I have read the t,cs and c,s . Have you read my last post?

    As stated in that post you can have as many selections as you like but will only be payed out on 5 goals (£10) max whether you,ve 1 player or 5 players , hence why i would advise no more than 2 

    I agree about the 120% book thing but i have been looking for another site to place my golf bets as i want to start doing multiples so thats probably where most of my £10 bets will go -backing winners of each tour and you cant do that on betfair. Any sort of multiples are not worth doing on Betfair as the odds get slashed 

    You also seem to be saying no sportsbook are worth betting on. As someone who places most of my bets on Betfair i would disagree. There are number of advantages like the multiples above. You also get refunded for non-runners on Sportsbooks. I could go on. 

    I appreciate your input but you could do it more dimplomaticaly in future rather than to call ppl mugs

    EDIT : Just posted this on the golf thread. It goes against your theory that all sportsbook punters are mugs (from Coral)

    I,m sure you,ve seen the Bet365 offers from time to time on big matches similar to the above offer but your in play bet is risk free but you can bet up to £50

    Theres the 4/1 or above on horses at 365 as well. If you look hard enough you will get the same price as the exchange or every now and again slightly better , meaning you can lay your bet off and still get your free bet on 365 if it wins and lose nothing if it loses.

    Basically theres loads of decent offers on Sportsbooks. they just take a bit of finding sometimes

    So Im

     The £2 will go on John Terry anytime goalscorer tonight at 10/1.

    UL on the John Terry bet badboy. With 6 goals you,d think he may have pinched 1 off them. I think its just a matter of time for Bony to start knocking them in. Chelsea are in desperate need of a centre forward before next week when the transfer window ends and if i was Mourinho, Bony would be top of my list right now

    A. Sanchez £20 wagered - 0 goals - 0 Freebets

    Looking back now its not quite how i imagined it would go. 

    I thought Sanchez would play in  a slightly different role than he has been or looks to be doing. I thought he would play more through the middle rather than down the right hand side. 

    Hopefully Wenger might turn him into a more center forward position than this wider role he seems to be playing - He did a great job with Thierry Henry alhtough he was an out and out right winger when he joined Arsenal but ended up a gr8 centre forward
